Ojii Terms & Conditions
1. General overview
Welcome to Ojii, a brand of Proteck Electronic Trading L.L.C These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Ojii’s product subscription services. By subscribing to Ojii’s products, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.
Ojii reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the subscription services after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Customers will be notified of significant changes via email or updates on Ojii’s official website.
Please note that the warranty, return, cancellation and refund policy is individually specified for each product on its page. Users must refer to the product page for details.
2. Subscription service
2.1 Eligibility
Subscription services are available to individuals aged 18 years or older.
Registration is required to access, manage, and subscribe to Ojii’s products.
2.2 Subscription period
Subscriptions are billed on a monthly basis and automatically renewed unless cancelled by the customer.
The subscription period may vary depending on the product.
Once the payments for the subscription period have been cleared, customers may choose to either own the product or upgrade to a recent model with a new subscription.
2.3 Cancellation & refund policy
Customers may cancel a subscription without penalties after completing the minimum subscription period, which may vary from one product to another.
Cancellations before the minimum subscription period will incur a fee equivalent to the remaining subscription period’s fees. Moreover, cancellation charges may be applicable based on the nature of the product, installation type, and duration of usage.
Refunds are not provided for past payments. However, once you cancel, you will not be charged again.
In case of any disputes related to cancellation charges, Ojii reserves the right to assess the product condition and installation status before making a final decision.
Cancellation charges may also vary based on product-specific terms & conditions.
Other factors affecting cancellation charges are:
- Add-ons: Any purchased add-ons (such as accessories) are non-returnable and non-refundable.
- Collection & dismantling Fees: Service fees may apply if product collection and/or dismantling are required.
- Damaged products: If the returned product is damaged beyond normal wear and tear, repair or replacement charges will apply.
- Structural modifications: Some smart locks require metal plates or other modifications during installation. If these elements cannot be removed or reused, additional charges may apply.
2.4 Product retrieval & dismantling policy
If Ojii’s team is required to collect the product from your location or dismantle installed products, applicable service fees will be charged. These fees will be communicated before scheduling the service.
Any additional accessories, customisations, or upgrades purchased alongside the primary product are non-refundable and non-returnable.
Returned products must be in good working condition. Any damages beyond normal wear and tear will incur repair or replacement charges that will be borne by the customer.
Some products, such as smart locks, may require additional structural modifications (e.g., metal plates, and wall drilling). If such modifications are irreversible or require extra work for removal, the customer will bear the associated costs.
2.5 Ownership transfer
Upon completing the payments for the specified subscription period, ownership of the product will be transferred to the customer, or they may choose to exchange it and resubscribe to a newer model. The customer must return the old product in good working condition before subscribing to a new one.
3. Payments & fees
3.1 Payment methods
Payments are processed via the customer’s registered credit card or bank account.
Monthly subscription fees are deducted automatically.
3.2 Late payments
Late payments may incur additional charges as specified at the time of payment.
Penalty may vary from one product to another as outlined in the subscription agreement.
Continued non-payment may result in service suspension and retrieval of the subscribed product.
3.3 Non-payment consequences
If payments are overdue for more than 60 days, Ojii reserves the right to retrieve the product.

Retrieval and associated costs will be charged to the customer.
Access to the customer account may be restricted until outstanding dues are cleared.
3.4 One-time fees
A one-time delivery and installation fee is required at the start of the subscription.
3.5 Refund policy
Subscription fees are non-refundable.
Refunds for delivery or installation fees will be granted only if the product is not delivered or installed within the promised timeframe.
4. Product delivery & installation
4.1 Delivery timeline
Products will be delivered and installed within 3-5 business days from subscription confirmation.
4.2 Professional installation
All installations are conducted by Ojii-certified technicians to ensure optimal performance and safety.
4.3 Geographic limitation
Delivery and installation services are available exclusively within the UAE.
5. Customer responsibilities
5.1 Maintenance & care
Customers are responsible for using and maintaining the product according to Ojii’s provided guidelines.
5.2 Accurate information
Customers must provide accurate and up-to-date personal, contact, and payment information during registration.
5.3 Access for maintenance
Ojii reserves the right to schedule maintenance or retrieve the product in cases of non-compliance with the subscription agreement.
5.4 Theft or damage
Customers must report theft or significant damage to Ojii immediately.
Replacement costs or additional fees may apply depending on circumstances and insurance coverage.
5.5 Raising issues or service requests
Customers can submit service requests or report issues via their registered Ojii account for prompt resolution.
6. Warranty & support
6.1 Warranty coverage
All products are covered under warranty throughout the subscription period.
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, unauthorised repairs, or force majeure events.
6.2 Replacement policy
If a product is deemed irreparable due to a manufacturing defect, it will be replaced at no extra cost during the subscription period.

7. Privacy & data protection
7.1 Data collection
Ojii collects and stores customer data for subscription management and service improvement.

Personal data will not be shared with third parties without customer consent, except as required by law.

8. Termination & suspension
8.1 By the customer
Customers may terminate their subscription at any time after the minimum subscription period, which may vary from one product to another.
8.2 By Ojii
Ojii reserves the right to suspend or terminate a subscription due to non-payment, violation of these terms, or misuse of the product.
9. Limitation of liability
Ojii is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of its products or services.
Ojii’s total liability shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by the customer.
10. Governing law & dispute resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the UAE.
Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with UAE arbitration laws.
11. Vendor policy
11.1 Vendor eligibility & registration
Vendors must provide accurate business information, including tax details.
Ojii reserves the right to approve, reject, or suspend vendor accounts based on compliance with our policies.
11.2 Vendor responsibilities
Vendors must ensure that all product listings are accurate, including descriptions, pricing, and images.
Products sold must be high-quality, functional, and meet all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Vendors must fulfil orders on time and ensure proper packaging to avoid damage during transit.
Vendors are responsible for responding to customer inquiries, managing returns, and resolving disputes promptly.
Vendors must comply with Ojii’s customer service, warranty, and refund policies.
11.3 Product quality & faulty items
Vendors are solely responsible for the quality and condition of the products they sell on Ojii.
If a product is found to be faulty due to a manufacturing defect or does not function as described, the vendor must:
Offer a replacement, repair, or refund as per Ojii’s return policy.
Bear the cost of return shipping if the fault is due to manufacturing defects.
Persistent complaints about product quality may lead to penalties or suspension of the vendor account.
11.4 Order fulfilment & shipping
Vendors must fulfil orders within the stated timeframe.
Shipping timelines must be honoured; failure to meet deadlines may result in penalties.
Vendors can choose between self-fulfilment or Ojii’s logistics services. If using Ojii's fulfilment, we will handle storage, packaging, and delivery for a service fee.
11.5 Returns, refunds & disputes
Vendors must accept returns per Ojii’s return and refund policies.
In cases of disputes, Ojii may mediate between the vendor and customer, with final resolution at Ojii’s discretion.
11.6 Commission & payments
Ojii charges a commission on each successful sale, deducted from vendor payouts.
Payments are transferred to vendors based on the agreed payout schedule.
Ojii may withhold payments in cases of fraud, disputes, or policy violations.
11.7 Vendor conduct & compliance
Vendors must act professionally and maintain a high standard of service.
Any attempt to manipulate reviews, mislead customers, or engage in fraudulent activities will result in account suspension.
Vendors must comply with all applicable laws, including consumer protection and data privacy regulations.
11.8 Termination & account suspension
Ojii reserves the right to suspend or terminate vendor accounts for policy violations, poor performance, or customer complaints.
Vendors may request account closure by providing prior notice.
11.9 Limitation of liability
Ojii is not liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from vendor sales, order fulfilment, or customer interactions.
Vendors are responsible for all product defects, claims, and liabilities arising from the sale of their products.
12. Amendments
Ojii reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Users and vendors will be notified of significant changes via email.
